Meet Jackie Schroeder
Jackie Schroeder is an Accredited Mediator and the Founder of Mutual Ground Mediation, with more than 40 years of experience across education, retail and business. Beginning her career as a qualified secondary teacher, Jackie went on to work in community programs and education, before entering the supermarket industry and eventually owning and operating multiple businesses. Over four decades, Jackie has built a career centred on people, leadership and business. She has employed and managed staff, navigated the challenges of running businesses and developed a deep understanding of workplace dynamics and human behaviour in a variety of settings. One of the things Jackie is most proud of is the long-standing relationships she has built throughout her career, including having staff who have remained with her businesses for more than 20 years. She feels privileged to have crossed paths with so many people throughout her life and career, and to have learned from each of those experiences.
A practical approach to resolution
Jackie is a mediator, not a lawyer. Her role is to provide a calm, confidential and impartial environment where both parties have the opportunity to be heard, understand different perspectives and work towards an agreement they can genuinely stand behind. At Mutual Ground Mediation, Jackie takes a practical, compassionate and solutions-focused approach. She supports people to navigate difficult conversations, identify what matters to them and work towards outcomes that are realistic, constructive and mutually acceptable. Her aim is to empower people to take an active role in resolving their dispute and move forward with clarity, confidence and resolution.
